How long do mesotherapy side effects last?
Most of what you'll experience, like redness and a bit of swelling, goes away within 24-48 hours. Pain typically disappears within just a few hours, though any bruising you get might stick around for 5-7 days before it's completely gone.
Can I use makeup right after the treatment?
You're better off waiting and skipping makeup for the first 6-8 hours after mesotherapy. This gives your skin a chance to "breathe" and cuts down on the risk of getting an infection at those injection sites.
What should I do if bruises appear?
Small bruises are pretty normal and nothing to worry about. Try using cold compresses for the first 24 hours, then switch to warm ones to help things heal. If your bruises are really extensive or they're still there after 10 days, that's when you should check in with your doctor.
When should I worry about side effects?
Get in touch with your doctor right away if you see: redness that's getting worse after those first 48 hours, pus or a bad smell coming from the injection sites, a fever, or signs you're having an allergic reaction like major swelling or difficulty breathing.
