What is Cog Yarn Treatment?
The placement of Cog yarns on the face and neck, is a minimally invasive treatment against the relaxation of the skin, with the aim of restoring it to the ideal point.
Cog yarns are 100% bioabsorbable of special design, with hooks
These hooks slightly injure the skin, inside the skin.
In this way, the natural stimulation of collagen and elastin production is promoted.
Taking advantage of the healing process, we have an erection of the point of application.
Over time, the texture and appearance of the skin changes progressively.
The skin relaxes, loses its volume, while superficial and deeper wrinkles appear as the production of collagen is gradually reduced.
Cog yarns as well as PDO yarns, while different from each other, are suitable for cases of mild skin relaxation. But for cases of intense relaxation, the ideal solution is erection with plastic surgery.

Procedure
After discussing with the doctor and choosing the point we want to improve, the doctor will plan the entry point of the yarns and their course.
Then, the area is sterilized and local anesthesia with anesthetic solution.
From a small hole that is created, the doctor passes the yarns (usually there are 2 in number), and after placing them in the right direction, he pulls them back, in order to achieve the "squat" and the gentle straightening.
There is also the possibility that these two yarns are tied together with a knot that is hidden under the skin, thus ensuring better and longer lasting results.
The treatment with Cog yarns is minimally invasive and bruising and swelling may appear in the application area, but they subside after 7-12 days.
Duration of application and results
The process takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on the area and the number of yarns to be placed.
At the end of the procedure, the results are visible to a large extent, but they improve after a few weeks.
About 1 month after the application of the yarns, the result will have reached 100% of its potential.

In which cases is it contraindicated?
Cog Yarn Treatment is contraindicated at Pregnancy, if Anticoagulant Treatment is taken, if there is Allergy to Polydioxanone and if there is Active Inflammation on the skin.
