Mandelic Peeling or otherwise "Mykonos Peeling" is a surface chemical peeling suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive.
Mandelic Acid diffuses into skin tissues in significantly smaller amounts than other alpha hydroxy acids.
It works in the upper layer of the skin, up to the spinous layer while it does not affect the clarity.
This is the reason why peeling with mandelic acid can be applied without fear during the summer months, since the possibility of post-therapeutic hyperpigmentation is almost zero.
Its main ingredients are almond oil, 2 hydroxy-2 phenylacetic or phenyl glycolic acid which belongs to alpha-hydroxy acids (fruit) and is prepared by hydrolysis of bitter almond extract.
Mandel Peeling (Mandelic Acid) treatment is indicated for:
1- Acne and rosacea
2- Seborrheic Dermatitis
3- Small expression wrinkles
4- Skin imperfections and signs of photoaging
5- Dull skin
6- Pigment spots and freckles

Properties of Mandelic Peeling (Mandel Acid)
1- Causes superficial exfoliation. Relaxes the upper layers of the skin and removes unnecessary skin cells
2- It has a lifting effect on the skin due to the synthesis of collagen and elastin that activate cell regeneration and the smoothing of small wrinkles.
3- It has a bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory effect. Suppresses bacterial production due to its structural similarity to macrolide antibiotics.
This reduces the risk of inflammation and infection of the skin.
4- The whitening effect of the skin is achieved by removing the surface layer, the skin becomes smoother and lighter.
5- The cytoprotective (antioxidant) effect is achieved due to the blockade of loose roots and the ability to stabilize heavy metal ions.
This means protecting skin cells from the negative effects of the environment
6- Smoothes the pores and effectively treats mild acne.
Advantages of Mandelic Peeling:
1- Mandelic Peeling is also ideal for those who have glycolic and retinoic acid intolerance. Acids which are recommended in skin treatments with enlarged pores, acne and oily biological aging.
2- Compared to other fruit acids, Mandelic Acid is less prone to cause complications such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
3 - It does not hurt and is clearly safer compared to other alpha-hydroxy acid treatments.
4- It is also applied in summer, because it has no photosensitization and actively inhibits melanogenesis.
However, the patient must use sunscreen daily with a minimum SPF of 30.
5- The absence of edema and hyperemia is also considered an important advantage of Tonsil Peeling.
6- If after other Peels with fruit acids you need to stay at home for a while, with the Mandelic Peeling you can move freely.
